Bernama - Wednesday, March 11KUALA LUMPUR, March 10 (Bernama) -- Prof Datuk Dr Abdul Razak Omar, the political secretary to Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar, today denied talk that he had taken a month's leave because of differences with his boss.

He said rumours that he would be resigning from the post soon were lies spread by certain quarters ahead of Umno's polls at the end of this month.
"My relationship with Datuk Seri Syed Hamid is very good. This is the work of some people bent on tarnishing the good name of my boss ahead of UMNO'S polls," he told Bernama.
Asked why he took leave at this critical juncture (Umno's polls), Abdul Razak said there were some family matters he needed to attend to.
"My son is in coma in the Intensive Care Unit at the Selayang Hospital since two weeks ago following a virus infection. This is a difficult time for me," he said, adding that he hoped people would stop spreading lies about him.
Abdul Razak also denied rumours that he had been questioned by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission on suspicion of having received bribes from contractors.
